Chuck Pagano is the new age Rex Ryan but I think even more daring and aggressive. I mean he knows our corner position is our weakest point so what does he do, he blitzes the crap out of the offense so they wont have the time to throw. This is all well and good if you know your rushers will get there, but on any play if the qb gets protection... boom.. a bomb to the endzone. But I like that he has the balls to make those calls and live with the consequences.
Flacco needs to be smart, he is all up in a tiffle thinking that he needs to be Tom Brady out there, when he doesnt. Our defense is still good enough where Flacco needs to be above average but not a superstar. I mean he has a bunch of rookies and second year receivers and TE's except Boldin. I'm not saying that he should not take his chances down the field, that obviously opens the field like we saw with the Rams. I am saying, if you see a young receiver double covered or if you see that the rush has reached you and you cannot escape... throw it away!
I am hopeful for this team, in two weeks we face the Texans and guess what, without Andre Johnson they will have a tough time against us. After that we need to beat teams that we are supposed to beat and we will be preparing for the playoffs.
